WAYFINDER

Wayfinder is a character-based online action game. I was responsible for creating over 200+ icon and visual assets to compliment the game’s various menus and HUD.

I also worked directly in-engine using UMG, blueprints, and data tables to integrate assets and layout menus while collaborating directly with other UI designers, game designers, and artists.

In addition, I supervised icon creation from external vendors, giving feedback and making edits to maintain a cohesive style for the project.

RENDERED ICONS

Created dozens of icons and curated over hundreds of icons from external vendors, before integrating them directly itno game data, assisting designers in the pipeline. Communicated directly with world designers, quest designers, and game designers to ensure consistency on goals and art direction.

Concepted and finalized the visuals for the main MTX currency, core upgrade materials, quest items, and more under the direction of the UI lead.

WORLD EVENTS

Directly worked with designers and followed UI lead to create a large number of icons representing events. These were incredibly varied and it was a creative challenge to come up with unique imagery for the large number of events in-game.

JOB BOARD

Worked together with UX Designer and UI Lead to establish a look for the Job Board, after iterating together on the wireframes and mock up in Figma and Photoshop. Tried to create a look that could showcase the various characters and locales of the world, to embellish on the game’s setting. Later collaborated with UI Designer to integrate into Unreal by creating assets, assembling renders of characters, locales, and props.
